The Problem
Abused mothers lose custody not because they are unfit, but because they cannot afford to fight. Abusers use endless litigation, false claims, and financial control to exhaust mothers in court, while children pay the price.

The Law We Fight For
1
A lawyer for every abused mother
Funded representation through The Dandelion Fund.
2
Support the state enforces, not the mother
Child support and protection orders the state itself pursues.
3
The abuser pays the costs
Fee-shifting when abuse is established, so litigation can no longer be used as a weapon.

Immigrant Mothers
Immigrant mothers face a double bind: fear of deportation, language barriers, and isolation are used to silence them. The Alliance fights for protection that does not depend on immigration status, and for legal help in the languages mothers speak.

The Blueprint
The Dandelion Alliance is modeled on Sara Ziff's Model Alliance, which turned the stories of fashion models into law. We will do the same for mothers: survivors leading, lawyers drafting, and legislators acting — until protection is a right, not a privilege.

Why a Dandelion
A dandelion is blown apart, yet every seed takes root. Mothers who are scattered by abuse can root again — and grow, together, into something stronger than before.
